I have been a life long fan of song and harmony, and an ardent student of voice and vocal technique. For much of my musical life I've sung and played in both folk music and rock and roll groups, barbershop quartets, and played principal roles in both musical theater and opera. I've also directed men's and women's choruses in barbershop harmony, and now teach voice as well. Over the years I've attended many workshops and camps including California Coast Music Camp, Cedar Run Song Workshop, and New Song Academy working on guitar craft, songwriting and singing harmony. I have also attended several Barbershop Harmony College summer workshops for quartetting and directing
My music roots and mostly self taught guitar come from an early age. I grew up learning music of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, favoring close harmony groups like the Everly Brothers, the Kingston Trio, The Mamas and The Papas, The Beatles, and Peter, Paul, and Mary. I've been a singer songwriter for about 5 years and have incorporated some of those styles into my own material.

This website is a new experience for me, and I'll try and keep it current as well as responding to any queries about vocal technique or harmony as best I can. Let's make more music together in this world! - Sheridan Malone
