I love singing and harmony, and even later in life still work on voice and vocal technique. In my musical life I've enjoyed solo and ensemble music a wide range of styles: folk, rock and roll, barbershop, musical theater, and opera. Now I enjoy teaching individuals and sharing crafts at various music camps like Joe Craven's RiverTunes.net and Vocalicamp.com, as well as assisting at California Bluegrass Association Music Camp.
I grew up learning music of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, favoring close harmony groups like the Everly Brothers, Kingston Trio, The Mamas and The Papas, The Beatles, and Peter, Paul, and Mary. Lately I've become fond of others like the Louvin Brothers, Kate Wolf, and more. I became a singer songwriter late in life and have incorporated some of those styles into my own material.
I'm now retired in Northern California and teaching voice and ukulele, but also playing regularly solo and in ensembles when I can find folks who are interested in playing and singing togehter.
